Automotive Service Technician

Wolfe Ford Inc. is currently looking for an Automotive Service Technician.


An Automotive Service Technician provides automotive services by performing inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently, safety and according to Ford's quality and time standards on customer and dealer owned vehicles. Complies with Ford and dealership's safety and environmental programs and practices. Automotive services may include, but are not limited to driveablility suspensions, alignments, steering, heating and air conditioning, basic and ABS brakes and exhaust systems, and diagnostic testing of vehicles.


  1. Assure timely and accurate daily documentation of all process information.

  2. Maintain a clean facility including floor, work bench and tool box.

  3. Occasionally assist the maintenance department with routine tasks.

  4. May load and unload product or parts with the side steer loader.

  5. Attend classes and or online courses offered by Ford Motor Company or related companies for required certifications for my job.

  6. Participate in all health, safety, and environmental programs; maintain self-awareness on safety issues and requirements and report any safety concerns to management.

  7. Provide knowledge sharing and training with other team members.

  8. Notifying management team of environmental, quality and production concerns, problems and opportunities.

  9. Foster culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times.

  10. Work in an honest and ethical manner; maintain confidentiality on all business related matters.

  11. Expected to physically report to work on time and is seldom absent.

  12. Complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and is conscientious about assignments.

  13. Maintain a team environment with other departments at all times.

  14. Maintain a high level of customer service and friendly atmosphere.

  15. Other duties as assigned.



To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Certification from a trade or technical school in automotive is desirable.

Prior experience in a relevant field such as automotive industry.

Attention to detail.

Willingness to participate in Ford and in house training.

Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, the ability to multi-task, attention to detail; and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.

Knowledge in computers, diagnostic tools and equipment; and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.


Specific physical requirements include:

Occasionally lifting weight up to sixty (pounds).

Operating vehicle lifts.

Pushing brooms, shovels, and etc.

Standing for extended periods of times.

Service Manager/Writer

Wolfe Ford is seeking applicants for a Service Manager/Writer. We're looking for an honest, dedicated, customer-service oriented person to join our team in Lidgerwood, ND.

The Service Manager/Writer is an incredibly important part of our success as a business. A successful service manger/writer will have extensive knowledge of automotive work, a positive and outgoing personality, and a dedication to honesty and fairness.

The Service Manager/Writer will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling appointments with customers.

  • Create long-lasting relationships with our customers.

  • Providing estimates to customers based on parts and labor costs and deductibles, after verifying warranty coverage

  • Preparing accurate repair orders, detailing problems and approving repairs.

  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle being serviced and provide owners with status updates.

  • Complete all documentation and submit the parts orders necessary to provide the services requested.

  • Assist technicians working on vehicles, where necessary, to maximize departmental production and efficiency.

  • Maintaining and enhancing knowledge of automotive maintenance and repairs.

Applicants are required to be:

  • At least 18 years old

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED

  • Have a valid driver's license

  • Dependable, honest and outgoing

  • Technical knowledge of automobiles and service experience

  • Successful multi-task management

  • Unwavering ethics and integrity
